Our staff are selected very carefully, not only for their qualifications and experience but also for their love of children. We understand that continuity of care for the children is paramount and for that reason we are totally committed to promoting staff loyalty.
Below is a selection of our staff team from all three of our nurseries.
Clair Coope – Operations Manager
Hello, I’m Clair the Operations Manager. I have been with Bluebell Nurseries since the very beginning. I was involved in the initial set up of Bluebell Barn prior to opening its doors in May 2005. Since then, we have developed our 2 further nurseries; Bluebell Hill in 2007 and Bluebell Wood in 2011. I have over 25 years’ experience of working with children from birth to 11 years. My role is to oversee all the nurseries and I work very closely with the nursery teams and support staff throughout. I enjoy spending time at each of our settings and love to still have some time to play with the children. With our wonderful team, I oversee and help to implement the training and development of our staff, EYFS legislation, parent partnerships and sustainability. In my spare-time, I spend most of my time with my 11 year old daughter and 13 year old son, who both attended Bluebell Nurseries and still to this day have many special, fun memories of their time here. I always look forward to meeting the children and families in all three nurseries and help with any questions you may have.
Nicola Lidbetter – Lead Manager
Hello, I’m Nic the Lead Manager of Bluebell Nurseries. I first started working at Bluebell Barn when it open in April 2005 as a Senior Practitioner and loved being involved in setting up the nursery. Shortly after this I was promoted to Deputy Manager and loved working with the children as well as developing and gaining experience in other areas. In September 2007 the company opened their second nursery, Bluebell Hill and I was very excited to be promoted to Nursery Manager. During this time I enjoyed the challenge of setting up and developing Bluebell Hill and working alongside a new team. In 2013 I gained my Early Years Teaching Status Degree. As an early year’s teacher, I feel I play an essential role in children’s development between birth and five, providing high-quality early education, which is where my passion for childcare has developed. After having my daughter in 2014, I returned in my current role, as lead manager and love working alongside my operations manager and supporting other managers and practitioners within all three settings. I am currently responsible for projects and plans and troubleshooting tasks. I love developing and motivating my staff teams, ensuring a high standard of excellent childcare practice throughout the nurseries.
Sarah Field – Nursery Manager - Bluebell Hill
Hi, I’m Sarah and I am the Nursery Manager of Bluebell Hill. I started working for the company in 2007 at Bluebell Barn as an apprentice. There I completed my NVQ’s in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, and when we opened up Bluebell Wood in 2011, I jumped at the chance of joining the Senior team and helping to start a new nursery. I soon became the Deputy Manager and have been managing our nurseries since 2014. I love learning different aspects of the business and developing new skills- which is essential in childcare! I spend a lot of my time working alongside the staff and interacting with the children, which is why I got into childcare in the first place.

Sophie Wright – Nursery Manager - Bluebell Barn (on maternity leave)
My name is Sophie and I am the Nursery Manager at Bluebell Hill.
After initially beginning my A- Levels in 2010 I realised that working with children was my passion and this is when I started my journey at Bluebell Nurseries.Throughout my time I have gained many qualifications including my NVQ level 3 in Childcare and I am also the SENCO co-ordinator.
From the beginning of my time at the nurseries I knew I wanted to further my career here and I feel I have been lucky to be given the opportunity to gain this knowledge and experience. I mainly worked throughout the 0-2 ages as a practitioner where I loved seeing the children grow and develop into their own individual personalities. My current role is so rewarding as I get to support all of the staff team with their progress and development, ensure all children have such exciting opportunities in their time here and of course still have the chance to work in all of the rooms to aid their learning.
