Full-Time Assistant Manager/ Nursery Manager - 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
The position will initially be that of Assistant Manager at Bluebell Wood (Heathfield) to cover maternity leave, but will then transition into a permanent Manager role. The specific location for the permanent role is not yet confirmed,d but will be discussed with the successful candidate near the end of the Maternity cover at Bluebell Wood.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and operational skills while supporting the Management team.
As an Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager 3 days a week and be responsible for the nursery on 2 days a week (Monday and Friday).
Duties of this role cover the overall management, planning, and development of the Nursery, under the direction of the Operations Manager and Nursery Manager. As a Nursery Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager.
We are looking for a candidate who is able to lead, motivate and develop the staff team and be able to communicate well at all levels.
The ideal candidate will likely be either an experienced room lead who has had responsibility in running a nursery independently, currently a 3rd in charge or Deputy Manager.
It is essential that you have a minimum of L3 early years qualifications, a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience, and at least a grade 4 in Maths and English.
Mat cover Part Time - 32 hours Mon, Tues, Thursday and Friday 8 am -6.pm. Salary up to £13.00
can be an unqualified Nursery Practitioner.
