At Bluebell, we believe that where children learn, play and grow really matters. Across our three unique nurseries, we create warm, nurturing environments where children feel safe to explore, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We welcome babies and children from 3 months to 5 years, five days a week from 8am to 6pm, all year round, with the option of early starts and late finishes. We close for Bank Holidays and for one week over Christmas.
Our experienced managers and practitioners are passionate about giving every child the care, attention and encouragement they need to thrive. Through play, exploration and meaningful everyday experiences, we support children to become confident, kind, curious and creative.
Above all, we want children to feel happy, secure and valued. We take the time to get to know every child as an individual, working closely with families to understand their needs, routines and personalities.

ACTIVITIES
Learning Through Play
At Bluebell, we believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, experiment, make choices and follow their own interests.
Our carefully planned environments provide rich and varied opportunities for children to learn through play, with activities adapted to their age, interests, backgrounds and individual needs. Wherever possible, children are involved in deciding what they would like to explore, giving them a genuine voice in their nursery day and helping them develop confidence, independence and a sense of ownership.
Alongside our everyday curriculum, children enjoy a wide range of experiences that bring their learning to life, including:
Weekly yoga sessions, supporting movement, coordination and wellbeing
Weekly Hartbeeps sessions, combining music, movement and sensory experiences
Spanish and French lessons, introducing children to new languages and cultures
Visits from local community professionals, including zoos, firefighters, dentists and police
Our annual duckling experience, where children can observe eggs hatching and have the opportunity to care for and handle the ducklings
These experiences give children opportunities to discover new interests, ask questions and make connections between what they learn at nursery and the world around them.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS
At Bluebell, we believe that learning doesn't stop at the nursery door. Time spent outdoors gives children the freedom to explore, experiment, take risks, solve problems and make sense of the world around them.
Our children have regular, uninterrupted opportunities to learn outside, following their interests and becoming absorbed in their play and discoveries. We don't believe outdoor learning should be squeezed around a rigid routine. Instead, it's an important part of our curriculum, giving children the time and space they need to explore at their own pace.
Whether they're digging in the garden, watching wildlife, getting muddy or investigating the changing seasons, outdoor experiences help children develop confidence, curiosity, independence and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Wild Beach at Bluebell Hill
At Bluebell Hill, our outdoor learning goes even further.
Our Wild Beach programme gives children the opportunity to visit the beach each day in our hybrid minibus, led by our dedicated Wild Beach Leaders. Here, children can explore the coastline, discover the natural environment and learn through real-world experiences.
Wild Beach encourages children to explore, create and ask questions, helping them develop their curiosity while building a lasting connection with the natural world.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES (SEND)
At Bluebell, every child is welcomed, valued and supported as an individual. We recognise that children develop in different ways and that some may need additional support at different stages of their nursery journey.
Our approach starts with getting to know each child — their interests, strengths, needs and the things that help them feel happy and confident. Our experienced team, including our SENCO, works closely with children, parents and relevant professionals to understand their needs and provide the right support.
We adapt our activities, environment and routines wherever needed so that every child can take part, develop their skills and feel a valued part of the nursery community. We also use a range of approaches, including visual supports, signs and symbols, where these help children communicate and express themselves.
We believe that parents know their children best, so maintaining open and regular communication is an important part of our approach. Together, we can celebrate progress, identify where additional support may be helpful and make sure each child has the opportunity to thrive. Further SEN and Disability information
