Nursery design and layout
Our nurseries have been designed and equipped to provide for the complete care and development of babies and young children. Each nursery is divided into separate rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. The children have helped name these rooms after their favourite animals so don’t be surprised when you hear one of the staff apparently encouraging a group of Tigers to get their coats on for going outside, or calling to a flock of Butterflies to line up for handwashing before lunch!
The baby rooms (Penguins, Bumblebees) are self contained, with playrooms, adjoining cot room and milk kitchen. All our babies receive individual attention and follow their own routines. At 2 years old the children progress to the toddler rooms (Tigers, Caterpillars), and then on to the pre-school rooms (Pandas, Butterflies) at 3 years of age. Each age group has its own separate areas for play, stories, music and dressing up and a creative room for messy activities, where children are encouraged and guided to play together and learn from each other in preparation for school.
Our children love playing outside so our large secure gardens have water and sand play areas, playground toys and lots of space in which to run around and be active.
